Adults’ First Visit
Overview
Our
office
understands
the
anxiety
some
patients
have
when
visiting
a
health
care
office
for
the
first
time.
For
that
reason,
Taylor
Dentistry
tries
to
make
your
first
visit
as
smooth
as
possible.
You
should
always
expect
a
smile
and
caring
treatment
from
our
doctors
and
staff.
In
addition
to
a
friendly
atmosphere,
we
believe
providing
you
with
information
about
the
first
visit
will
also
help
make you feel more comfortable.
Below
is

to
make
your
first
visit

The First Visit
Prior
to
arriving
at
your
first
appointment,
you
will
speak
with
our
receptionist,
who
will
collect
basic
information.
Ideally
at
the
first
appointment,
we
address
any
issues
while
still
conducting
a
cleaning
and
exam,
and
Dr.
Brett
Taylor
will
discuss
all
exam
results
and
treatment
recommendations
with
you
at
the
end
of
the
appointment.
Occasionally,
if
your
first
visit
is
for
a
concern
that
requires
immediate
care,
we
may
elect
to
concentrate
solely
on
the
problem
in
order
to
relieve
any
discomfort
it
may
be
causing you.
During
a
routine
new
patient
exam,
we
will
take
required
x-rays
that
allow
Dr.
Taylor
to
evaluate
your
teeth
and
jaws.
We
are
proud
to
have
all
digital
x-rays
which
provide
great
quality
while
reducing
exposure
to
you,
our
patient.
At
subsequent
checkups,
x-rays
are
taken
based
on
cavity
risk
of
the
individual
patient,
not simply as routine.
A
complete
oral
exam
is
conducted
including
an
oral
cancer
screening,
evaluation
of
the
jaw
joint
(TMJ),
gums
for
periodontal
disease,
and
all
of
the
teeth.
Your
teeth
will
be
cleaned
and
polished.
Topical
fluoride
may
also
be
recommended
based
on
your
current
oral
health
to
strengthen
the
enamel
and
help
prevent
future
cavities.
Dr
Taylor
will
then
review
with
you
the
exam results, treatment recommendations, and answer all of your questions.

have
been
designed
to

also
